As an Engineering Manager for React / React Native you will lead and grow a dedicated engineering team building Signify Health's Provider Platform (@/provider-platform-app) in an Nx monorepo. You will balance people management with technical leadership-driving team performance, career development, and engineering excellence while ensuring scalable front-end platform delivery that meets business goals.   • Lead, coach, and develop engineers across multiple skill levels (junior through senior), conducting regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
  • Build and maintain a high-performing, inclusive team through effective hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies
  • Foster a collaborative culture that promotes psychological safety, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Partner with Product Management and Design to align team priorities with business objectives and delivery timelines
Technical Leadership & Strategy:
  • Guide technical discussions within the team and represent the team in cross-functional technical discussions
  • Define and evangelize engineering best practices-architecture standards, ADRs, code quality guidelines, and operational procedures
  • Drive technical decision-making processes, helping the team navigate trade-offs and reach consensus on complex technical challenges
  • Establish and monitor key engineering metrics (velocity, quality, incident response) to ensure continuous improvement
Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee platform evolution strategy-collaborate on current and future application architecture, scalability planning, and technical roadmaps
  • Ensure robust testing strategies and quality standards; work with the team to select appropriate frameworks and maintain coverage targets
  • Drive continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, development tooling, and observability practices
  • Champion secure-by-design principles and coordinate with security teams on vulnerability management and compliance
Experience Requirements:
  • 8+ years professional software development experience, including 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles
  • 5+ years hands-on front-end development, with strong background in React and/or React Native applications using TypeScript
  • Proven track record of managing an engineering team (5-10 engineers) and delivering complex platform initiatives
  • Strong communication and influence skills-able to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders and drive organizational alignment
  • Experience with performance management, hiring processes, and building diverse, inclusive engineering teams
Preferred QualificationsTechnical Background:
  • Professional experience with React / React Native applications in enterprise-scale monorepo environments
  • Deep familiarity with monorepo build tooling such as Nx and modern frontend development practices
  • Strong working knowledge of GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation and team workflow optimization
Management Experience:
  • Experience scaling a single engineering team through periods of growth
  • Track record of successful team performance improvement and retention
  • Background in agile methodologies, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience in software development and team leadership will be considered
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$118,450.00 - $236,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
