Caremark Business Architect ure plays a crucial role supporting the business strategy by developing architecture strategy and blueprinting by linking strategy and execution activities on complex strategic business transformation initiatives. You will lead a team that develops strategy and blueprints by adopting various advanced architecture techniques such as Capability Modeling, Customer Journey Mapping, and Value Stream analysis and by influencing and partnering with key stakeholders from across Business and technology organizations. Business Architect ure plays a key role in maintainin g and evolving competency around the modeling of all Business Architecture constructs in a connected ecosystem , driving strategic support and business transformation throughout the organization .Your main duties will include:

- Leading and developing a team of direct reports
- Building, improving, and driving further adoption of Business Architecture practice
- Interfacing and communicating directly with Senior Leaders from all different areas of the company
- Lead your team to and personally :
- D evelop business architecture blueprints that link strategy and execution activities to complex strategic business transformation initiatives.
- Identify and catalog business capabilities enabling value streams and customer experiences, classify and assess capabilities for maturity and criticality. Perform analysis of capabilities to articulate problem areas, improvement needs, funding needs etc., and develop capability roadmaps.
- Apply business architecture techniques such as Capability Modeling, Customer Journey Mapping, and Value Stream analysis, as direct input to the solution design and Agile execution.
- Perform capability rationalization, aligning investments to the core capabilities supporting the execution of strategy, by promoting reusability, consistency and experiences while reducing cost and complexity.
- Regularly create and present executive level presentations and reporting
- Lead analysis , interviews, and workshops to illuminate the current business and operating models of our organization .
- Collaborate with business and IT partners to de velop the future state capabilities or changes in how key elements of business work together to deliver strategic value and provide competitive advantage.
- 10 years of business architecture / management consultancy or equivalent experience
- 8 years of proven leadership (with at least 3 year s of direct lead ership of a team role )
- 5 years of experience with business capability modeling and value stream analysis
- 5 years of enterprise Architecture frameworks (E.g., Guild , BIZBOK , TOGAF ) certification or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience in a matrixed corporate environment, successfully influencing, communicating, and building relationships with all levels, including senior leadership
- 3 years of experience g uiding teams and leadership through developing a Business Architecture practice through strong presentation skills, communication, and education
- 3 years of experience with analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, Minitab, etc.)
- Healthcare and pharmacy processes and workflows
- Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) processes and workflows
- Translating between technical and business teams
- U nderstanding performance management and executi on of goal realization and strategic alignment
- Navigating ambiguity and c halleng ing the status quo
- Thinking about the business abstracted from how the business functions, teams are aligned, and technology is implemented
- Project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe , etc.)
- Enterprise Architecture tools
Bachelor's degreePay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
