Position Summary:

At the 24-Hour Nurse Line the Health Coach Consultant utilizes a collaborative process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to engage, educate, and promote/influence members decisions related to achieving and maintaining optimal health status. Requires an RN with unrestricted active license.
  • Hours required: Start time will be between 11:00PM, 8 hour or 10 hour shift, every other weekend, 4 holidays per year.
  • Must reside in a nurse Compact State and hold a Compact license.
  • The 24-Hour Nurse Line provides a telephone-based information and decision support program to eligible members. The Nurse will be responsible for the following:
  • Facilitates effective health care decision-making.
  • Improves the quality of care.
  • Improves member satisfaction with their health care plan.
  • Facilitates appropriate use of health care resources.
  • Provides up-to-date health care information to help facilitate members' understanding of their health problems and possible options.
  • Provides assistance by clarifying available options for the member's particular health problem or issue.
  • Helps members actively and knowledgeably participate with their provider in their own health care decision-making.
  • Promotes healthy lifestyles to help lower personal health risks, preventing illness.
  • Awareness of the member's available health and wellness programs, and makes referrals to these programs as appropriate.
Ideal candidates will:
  • Must have RN licensure in the state of office location.
  • Have 3+ years of clinical experience.
  • Have proficient keyboarding skills.
  • Enjoy working with computers and evolving technology, prefer online resources over printed documents.
  • Have telephone experience in the nursing field, especially telephone triage, emergency room, and/or urgent care experience.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Wants to work every other weekend and 4 Holidays per year.
  • Are able to complete 6 weeks Mon-Fri orientation on a variable daytime schedule.
  • Applies a broad clinical experience to at times complex issues, ensuring a positive member experience.
  • Want to expand their knowledge base while applying excellent communication skills.
  • Are leaders of people and process improvement, and want to make a difference in people's lives.
  • Are seeking a challenging fast-paced office (and potentially work at home) position.
  • Do the right things for the right reason in all interactions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active unrestricted RN compact state licensure.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience required, specifically in: Disease Management, Emergency Room, Critical Care, Medical/Surgical Care, Oncology.
  • 1 year proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook and Microsoft Word).
  • Must be willing to work night and start work between 11:00 PM and can choose to work with an 8 hour shift or 10 hour shifts. work every other weekend, 4 holidays per year.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Managed Care experience preferred. Previous coaching experience preferred. Model candidates have telephone triage nursing experience.
Education:

Associate Degree required.

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent 3-5 years clinical experience preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$54,095.60 - $116,800.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
