Meritain Health offers the resources of a national carrier and the unmatched flexibility and service of an independent, local administrator and includes our Pharmacy Benefits Manager.Meritain Health is recruiting an Executive Director, Business Operations and Strategy who will partner closely with leaders to identify and execute near and longer-term opportunities for business optimization and transformation. This leader will be responsible for developing strategic plans that assert leadership in priority areas. This role will require complex, cross-functional stakeholder management to model disciplined execution on the highest value opportunities for the business.   • Leading the development and execution of the organization's strategic plan by driving operational excellence, implementing effective business strategies, and ensuring the organization's long-term growth and success.
  • Analyzing business processes, identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implementing strategies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the organization's performance.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure the organization's financial stability, monitor financial performance, and make data-driven decisions to optimize financial resources.
  • Communicating the organization's vision and goals, addresses concerns, and seeks opportunities for strategic collaborations and partnerships.
  • Providing regular reports and updates regarding business operations, strategic initiatives, financial performance, and key achievements to senior leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks that have the potential to negatively impact the organization's operations and/or strategic objectives.
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the business operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Defining multi-year strategic visions, conduct needs assessments, and lead transformation initiatives from ideation to execution in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Leading strategic planning activities for prioritized capability and functional enhancements.
  • Identifying gaps in processes or the organization, coordinating analysis and challenge self and others to develop and implement solutions.
  • Driving change to improve performance results, organization effectiveness and/or systems/quality/services.
  • Developing and delivering executive proposals, progress reporting, and presentations.
  • Supporting CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumer-centric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities in which we work, live, and serve.
Required Qualifications

The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company's business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:
  • 10+ years of industry experience and expertise within healthcare services organizations in several of the following areas: strategy consulting, business strategy, product, executive communications, operations, and change management.
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
  • Adept at business intelligence.
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork.
  • Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
  • Proven experience designing and launching first-of-their-kind initiatives.
  • Keen ability to distill complex ideas into simpler frameworks and actionable insights.
  • Ability to synthesize vision and deliver on concurrent initiatives.
  • Exemplary communication, presentation, and partnership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated action and problem-solving orientation.
  • Ability to develop structured problem-solving skills to identify root cause of issues and develop recommendations for resolution.
  • Experience prioritizing competing objectives, meeting deadlines, and effectively communicating updates.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$131,500.00 - $303,195.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
