We are seeking a data scientist to join the Consumer Engagement Analytics team, focused on enabling intelligent, data-driven messaging across our communication portfolio-including emerging channels like Rich Business Messaging. This role will play a key part in uncovering insights from member interactions, identifying behavioral patterns, and informing strategies that enhance engagement and personalization.Technical & Analytical:

  • Analyze member engagement across messaging channels to uncover trends, preferences, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Explore inbound member signals to understand intent and needs, leveraging structured and unstructured data across diverse domains.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to monitor campaign performance and member engagement in real time.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling to support campaign design and performance evaluation.
  • Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models to support targeting, segmentation, and content optimization.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Partner with product, marketing, and engineering teams to translate business questions into data science solutions.
  • Document analytical processes, findings, and recommendations in a clear and actionable format.
  • Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Support the design and measurement of messaging campaigns aimed at driving member engagement and behavior change.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance member experience through data-driven personalization and automation.
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable analytics framework for messaging as a channel.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant professional analytic experience OR 1 year of professional analytic experience and a Master's degree.
  • 2 + years' experience programming using Python
  • 2+ years' experience in SQL
  • 1+ year of experience building supervised and unsupervised predictive models in Python (scikit-learn, xgboost, keras)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills and a strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners
  • Effectively resolves problems and roadblocks as they occur
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and A/B testing.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in several areas of data modeling, machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization
  • Ability to work with large data sets from multiple data sources
Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred Anticipated Weekly Hours

The typical pay range for this role is:$86,520.00 - $173,040.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
