Diesel Mechanic - Workshop - Pakenham

• Competitive Hourly Rate + $5k Sign on + OT paid at penalty rates +bonus +super

• Day shift (8am to 4pm)

• Brand new modern well-equipped facility

We have an opportunity for a talented Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team specialising in Heavy Vehicle repairs and maintenance across on-highway, construction and agriculture customers based at our Pakenham branch.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products

• Diagnose and repair various engines

• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning

• Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Mechanical trades qualified as Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Plant mechanic. Light vehicle with heavy vehicle experience may also be considered

• Previous repairs and maintenance experience with On Highway Truck, Mining, Construction or Agriculture applications is desirable but not essential

• Kenworth, Western Star, Hitachi, Komatsu & Liebherr experience highly desirable

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications for Internal Candidates:

• Maintain a clean and tidy work area and toolbox.
• Have good attention to detail and enthusiasm to deliver the customer with a quality repair.
• Engine rebuild and major experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience with the Cummins product is preferred but not essential.
