We are looking for a talented Student for our School to Work - Finance position to join our team, specializing in Finance for our Cummins Inc. facility in Florence, KY.

Job Summary:

The Cummins Drivetrain & Braking Systems (CDBS) student who is pursuing a future in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or Business Management. The primary role of the Finance school-to-work is to provide administrative support to the North America Aftermarket team. The student will, at the same time, gain real world experience and education in the field of Finance in a business-to-business environment.

• Handle daily costing of production parts for USA, Canada, and Mexico facilities.

• Financial month-end close assistance; journal entries, report generation, and deliverable preparation.

• Develop databases and files using Microsoft Access and Excel that reduce the time to complete day-to-day tasks and increase data accuracy.

• Data gathering with sites in USA, Canada, & Mexico.

• Robust documentation of responsibilities and development of process improvement and training.

• Semester project(s) to be determined with supervisor.

• Other activities required by supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools preferred.

• Ability to learn on the job in a dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities.

• Ability to work independently and within teams as needed.

• Demonstrates written and oral communication skills, including presentation creation.

• Strong teamwork and ability to interact with all levels of the organizations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

Education, Licenses, Certification

• Must be at least a junior in high school and 16 years of age.

• Ideal candidate is currently a student enrolled and pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, or Business Management or related fields.

Compensation (for United States)
