Program Experience
CSL's Co-op Program is a hands-on experience that showcases the dailyinnovation and operations of a leadingbiotechnology company. Our environment iscollaborative, global, and purpose-driven. The 26-week experiencewill immersestudents in meaningful, thought-provoking projects that contribute to CSL's promise to savelives andprotect the health of people around the world. In additionto making an impact,students will be developed personallyand professionally while cultivating meaningfulrelationships.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to meet with various internal stakeholders to understand business needs and work on a range of projects using various software programs with opportunities to work collaboratively with the global Medical Affairs team. This role will require organic creativity, attention to detail, the capacity to self-direct and project manage, strong communication skills, and the ability to set expectations and adhere to set deadlines.
- Creative design creation: In collaboration with the global medical team, develop effective and aesthetically appealing images and designs for various digital and print medical resources that effectively communicate the intended medical "message"
- Graphic design ability: Working knowledge of design and video tools e.g., Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
- Collaborate with the global medical team to understand design requirements, conceptualize creative solutions providing multiple solutions for the team.
- Support scientific resource creation and updates including Medical Science Liaison slide decks, infographics, website materials, Therapeutic Area materials, and Medical Information materials to educate health care professionals
- Proficiency in graphical representation of data, interactive PowerPoints/PDFs and other creative ways to represent data to educate health care professionals
- Print production knowledge: Understand print production processes and specifications for the development of print materials
- Foundational knowledge in UX design, SEO-compliant design principles, and prototyping
- Quality control: Conduct thorough quality checks and provide updates to the team on images/designs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project expectations and requirements
- Video production and editing: Working knowledge of creating and editing brief videos for educating, training and medical resource generation
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Participation in a certified graphic design co-op program
- A minimum GPA (usually around 3.0 on a 4-point scale).
- Proficiency in relevant design software: Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere) or other industry-standard software.
- Knowledge of design principles: Understanding color theory, composition, typography, and layout.
- Experience with prototyping tools: Familiarity with tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar software.
- Strong conceptualization skills: The ability to develop unique and effective design solutions.
- Aesthetics and visualization: Creating visually appealing designs that align with the project's goals.
- Visual storytelling: Using design to convey messages and narratives effectively.
- Communication skills: Articulating design ideas and collaborating with team members.
- Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy and consistency in design work.
- Problem-solving: Addressing design challenges and adapting to feedback.
