OMNI Engineering, a CRH company, started its business in 1985 in Omaha, Nebraska. OMNI is involved in heavy highway construction as well as private and commercial site construction. Its primary business involves the manufacture and placement of asphalt for roads, city streets and parking lots. Position Overview
The Driver/Relief Dispatcher will manage the driver's schedule and routes while maintaining positive relationships with our internal and external customers, production teams and service personnel.

- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures as well as in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA, MSHA, etc.
- Operates truck in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area and at various job sites to deliver materials.
- Shovel any remaining materials out of the dump box after a delivery as needed.
- Keeps accurate log of deliveries and completes required paperwork for billing.
- Hauls various equipment or materials on tilt/transport trailers to transfer to other job site locations.
- Performs pre and post trip truck and trailer inspections.
- Checks fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe operation.
- Manage the driver's schedules and routes.
- Receive customers, and work with other departments to solve issues.
- Manage the utilization of hired haulers including requests, paperwork, payroll approvals and haul rates.
- Manage the Track-It and SmartDrive systems.
- Routing, tracking and cost coding of construction equipment.
- Administrative duties include ordering and tracking fuel, reporting water truck meter readings to MUD, monitoring material piles, routing bank deposits, daily downtime reports and routing paperwork between plant locations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Must have a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT requirements.
- Must have strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Regular and consistent attendance is required and must be willing to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Must be willing to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Must display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
- Must display a willingness and ability to work in and adapt to changes in circumstances, tasks, customer needs and other conditions that may affect their daily responsibilities.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. on an on-going basis.
- Must be able to frequently talk, hear, walk, and sit as well as occasionally required to stand, reach use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to climb ladders and to work at heights as well as work in tight quarters.
- Able to communicate with others by telephone, electronically and in person.
- Able to utilize a computer for email communication and preparation of documents and spreadsheets.
- May require sitting for extended periods of time.
Work Environment
While performing field duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. While performing non-field duties of this position, the environment is typical of an office setting and the noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
