What You'll Be Doing
In this hands-on leadership role, you'll support the Plant Manager in overseeing operations to deliver high-quality products-on time and on budget-while cultivating a safe, collaborative work environment.
Operations & Team Leadership
• Lead, coach, and support plant staff across all levels
• Schedule and oversee block production based on sales and inventory needs
• Champion a positive, inclusive, and safety-first culture
• Supervise hiring, training, evaluations, and performance management
Quality & Efficiency
• Maintain control of raw materials and resale inventory
• Ensure production meets all quality standards and ASTM specifications
• Troubleshoot and solve technical and operational challenges
• Drive equipment maintenance and manage spare parts inventories
Safety & Compliance
• Enforce all OSHA, environmental, and company safety guidelines
• Perform routine safety inspections and maintenance procedures
• Promote best practices in workplace health and safety
Reporting & Technical Expertise
• Conduct moisture analysis and adjust mixes accordingly
• Manage documentation, reports, and compliance systems
• Read electrical blueprints and work with modules like Allen Bradley or IDEC
What You Bring
We're looking for a detail-oriented leader with production expertise and technical aptitude. Your ability to solve problems, communicate clearly, and drive operational excellence will help us build success-block by block.
Qualifications Include:
• Extensive experience with Besser and Columbia block machinery
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication
• Strong troubleshooting, electrical, and maintenance skills
• Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and mix design principles
• Working knowledge of control circuits and production equipment
