Job Summary
This position reports to the Assistant Controller and plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial records, participating in month-end closes, and performing other various tasks. This role allows the flexibility to work one-day a week from home.

Job Responsibilities
This position will support the accounting department by performing various accounting tasks. The position involves preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing other various reports to ensure the accuracy of their assigned areas. The position requires a skilled, motivated individual who has experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Provide support to accounting department in the processing and review of financial transactions.
- Prepare the daily cash logs, including reviewing AR batches for accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile assigned accounts each month, including investigating and resolving any variances.
- Post journal entries to record various transactions.
- Assist in the month-end close process for various processes.
- Assist the Assistant Controller with various tasks as directed.
- Organize and maintain financial records.
- Function as a backup for various areas, including but not limited to Receptionist duties, Credit Card Batch processing, and Production entries for various lines of business.
- Provide support to other departments as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
- One-year related experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Preferably have proven experience as an Accounting Assistant, Accounting Clerk, Staff Accountant or similar role.

- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Able to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, or controls
- Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus
- May require sitting for extended periods of time
- Able to move/carry objects up to 25 lbs
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, when outside normal working environment.
- The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be loud, but is typically moderate
- $21.00 - $24.00 / Hour
