Summary:

Collaborates closely with Wound Management Technicians & Physicians while training to provide specified technical care to children with a wide range of injuries and illnesses with a special focus on wound management. Implements appropriate treatment for patient wound care requirements as determined by the supervising physician and set forth in departmental policy. Provides support functions related to unit operations and supplements the health care team. Supervised by physician for wound management and other aspects of care within the realm of medical practice. Does not work independently or practice as a licensed individual.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years direct emergency care experience; pediatric experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support and PALS Provider certification.
  • Current paramedic certification with the State of Texas.
