Summary:

An independent contributing IT professional within the Systems Engineer family developing and applying technical expertise in two or more IT disciplines that support Cook Children's technical infrastructure. This includes technologies, systems, networks, data architectures, capacity planning, performance management, security and configuration management. Jobs in this family are responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying technologies. In addition, they are responsible for the establishment, development, and promotion of standard architectures, as well as hardware and software components. This role provides consulting services to application development teams and/or customers regarding technologies and the application of specific technology standards. This role provides guidance and training to less experienced staff members on the infrastructure team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of direct IT experience

• r

  • Associate's degree and 6 years of direct IT experience

• r

  • High school diploma or equivalent 8 years of direct IT experience.
  • BA/BS degree in IS or Business preferred.

One or more of the following Information Technology certifications is required or must obtain within six (6) months of employment:

  • Microsoft MCSE
  • VMware
  • VCP
  • A-Plus
  • Red Hat Linux
  • Amazon AWS certifications
  • Microsoft Azure certifications
  • Google Cloud certifications
