Summary:

Cook Children's Medical Center and Healthcare System, based in Fort Worth, TX, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Pediatric Hematologist to join our growing Hematology and Oncology Center. Currently, our 22 physicians and 15 nurse practitioners, as well as dedicated multi-disciplinary staff see approximately 300 new cancer cases annually and maintain a population of over 600 sickle cell syndrome patients. We are a designated Hemophilia Treatment Center. We have a very active outpatient practice and serve an expansive referral area including the Fort Worth Metro area, North Texas as well as East, Central and West Texas and the surrounding states.
• ur Hematology Oncology center is regularly active in clinical research in Oncology, Hematology fields, including involvement in several international pediatric stroke and thrombosis studies.
• ur center is an active member of Children's Oncology Group (COG) and has active collaborations with multiple academic institutions, Phase I consortiums and pharmaceutical companies. We are seeking an energetic BC/BE Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist with a strong base in General Hematology and a special interest in Hemophilia to fill this position. Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.
  • .) required.
• Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date).
• Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics.
• Board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
• DEA Certificate.
• American Heart Association BLS and PALS.
