Pediatric Critical Care Physician Opportunity

• f note, our Cardiac ICU is a separate department, and this position will not include clinical time in the Cardiac ICU.

Many on our team also staff our Pediatric ICU at Cook Children's Prosper campus that has been open since 2023. This 10-bed ICU is part of a stand-alone hospital that admits over 1,000 patients per year. At this location, we also have support from an advanced practice provider along with consultation from a full range of pediatric subspecialists. Cook Children's Prosper continues to increase its scope of care, offering 24-hour EEG monitoring, advanced respiratory support, and pursuing Level 3 trauma designation.

Cook Children's primarily partners with TCU Burnett School of Medicine and UNT Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. While we frequently host 4th-year medical students for electives, the hospital generally has no residents or fellows. This allows for fulfilling, front-line provision of care from our intensivists and close collaboration with subspecialist attendings.
