Summary:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse will provide skilled, patient-centered care within a telephonic and portal-based practice model, based out of Dodson Specialty Clinic and supporting pediatric psychiatric patients and their families through MyChildren's portal messaging and phone-based communication rather than in-person visits. This role is ideal for an LVN who thrives in a structured, non-visit-based environment and wants to apply strong clinical judgement and psychiatric or general nursing experience in a low physical demand, high communication setting. The LVN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Practice Manager, following the established plan of care and medical plan of treatment, with an emphasis on clear documentation, sound triage decisions, and responsive family communication across a pediatric psychiatric population ranging from early childhood through young adulthood.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse will deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families according to their identified needs. This care is delivered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and is guided by the established plan of care, and the medical plan of treatment. The Licensed Vocational Nurse will deliver care with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer relations; sound clinical judgement and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration evidenced based practice.
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm
Friday - WFH - Remote 8a - 2p
Experience / Education
- 1 years of direct nursing experience.
- 4+ years of LPN experience Highly Preferred
- Epic experience Highly Preferred
- Pediatric - Psych experience Highly Preferred
- Associate's in nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or met the educational requirements to test for licensure.
