Summary:
The Director of Research Operations provides leadership in the development and maintenance of an infrastructure of support for all research operations within the Cook Children's Health Care System. The Director provides planning, implementation, and compliance oversight of research programs which support the System mission, values and strategic plans. The Director assesses and implements educational, consultative, and operational strategies to meet and exceed research regulatory requirements and institutional objectives.
Qualifications:
- Master of Science or Business Administration is required
- Minimum 10 years of clinical research experience in health care settings (pharma/device industry, governmental, and/or university-based) with key aspects of operations including all regulatory functions, subject management, and data management & protection is required
- A strong history of successful personnel and team management within large and complex institutions (corporate, governmental, university) is preferred
Certification/Licensure:
- CCRC or CCRP certification preferred
- Maintains licensure and certification appropriate to clinical profession
