Situated along the famed Route 66, Amarillo is a city where you can visit Cadillac Ranch, hike Palo Duro State Park (the second largest canyon system in the US after the Grand Canyon), and enjoy a 72 oz steak for free at The Big Tex Steakhouse (provided you can finish it in the time allowed). Amarillo enjoys a climate with all four seasons and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.
