Supplier Sustainability Development Specialist Asia

Job Description

  • Conduct responsible value chain risk analysis, as well as corrective actions derived from risk analysis or incident cases in direct contact with our Asian suppliers, in alignment with Global Manager Supplier Sustainability Development
  • Develop Asian suppliers regarding due diligence capabilities in the fields of responsible value chain, and the fields decarbonization, renewable materials and circularity (e. g. certifications, standards), including developing and conducting supplier trainings, in alignment with related functions in Responsible Sourcing and Supplier Sustainability Development; best practice sharing with related functions
  • Monitor local regulations with respect to Responsible Sourcing in Asia
  • Conduct sustainability audits as a co-auditor
  • Support in development of regional Responsible Sourcing strategy in alignment with Responsible Sourcing and Supplier Sustainability Development
  • Document and report all related activities to Supplier Sustainability Development and Responsible Sourcing

Qualifications
  • University degree, preferably in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or other sustainability related fields
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional or academic experiences, preferably in purchasing or sustainability field
  • Knowledge of ISO14001, ISO45001 and sustainability audit standards (e. g. SA8000) desirable
  • Independent work with strengths in analytical thinking
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office programs, especially Excel and Teams
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin; knowledge of other Asian languages desirable
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High ability to work in a (virtual) team
  • Intercultural competence
