Lead Sustainability Fundamentals, Principles and Standards (m/f/d) - REF53785B

Job Description

  • Central hub of expertise on sustainability fundamentals
  • Continuous monitoring and interpretation of sustainability regulations, requirements, accounting and reporting standards (e.g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GDDL/LkSG)
  • Definition & documentation of interpretations and clearing of application of sustainability regulations, requirements, accounting and reporting standards
  • Outreach to regulators and standard setters on existing and upcoming regulations
  • Representation of Continental in relevant formats (e.g. conferences), memberships and associations
  • Ensure alignment of interpretations and their application with relevant Group Functions (e.g. Accounting and Law), Group Sectors and external assurance providers
  • Preparation of relevant material for oversight by Executive Board and Supervisory Board
  • Coaching and training of relevant functions
  • Active participation in associations (e.g. econsense, DRSC, etc) and other external formats related to accounting principles
  • Support of the annual reporting process regarding sustainability reporting fundamentals
  • Actively contribute to the successful implementation of Continental's sustainability ambition

Qualifications
  • Academic degree in relevant area
  • Several years of professional and/or academic experience with sustainability
  • Profound expertise in relevant areas of sustainability fundamentals, regulations, requirements, accounting and reporting standards including CSRD,ESRS, EU Taxonomy, GDDL/LkSG, Corporate Governance Code (DCGK), German Commercial Code (HGB), Financial Accounting (esp. IFRS) and sustainability standards like ISSB, TCFD, GHG Protocol, GRI, etc.
  • Experience regarding regulations management, regulatory affairs, assurance processes, traceability and audit trails, controlling processes, data management or corporate reporting
  • Experience in a matrix organization and in managing different stakeholder interests
  • Business Fluent English and German language skills (written and spoken)
  • Highly iterative and structured workstyle
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • High motivation for constant learning
