Position Summary:

The primary function of the TMS Analyst is to support the management of logistics functions across the integrated supply chain by effectively managing freight transportation and ensuring timely and accurate shipment visibility.

Responsibilities include implementation support and ongoing management of the Transportation Management System (TMS) and Shipment Visibility tools to streamline transportation processes and configure and optimize TMS settings to align with business requirements and goals.

This position may cover different sourcing categories such as can, ingredients, packaging, crowns, glass, reverse logistics and finished goods, in all modes of transportation with high level of complexity and responsibility within the supply chain. The role requires leadership skills to manage carriers and logistics service providers as an extension of our organization to deliver the expected results.

As part of the Global Logistics Organization, this position plays a critical role in implementing any action to orient operational activities towards the achievement of the supply chain strategies and missions. This includes the collection and input of shipment data, tracking and tracing, inputting changes and updates, communicating with internal customers and strategic partners, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the Transportation Management System (TMS) and Shipment Visibility tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs.
  • Uses analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes. Logistics decision maker and representative on meetings and conferences with carriers and breweries, and the rest of supply chain teams and raw materials suppliers to manage exceptions and/or align relevant operational agreements.
  • Use of TMS as superuser to set up master data, carriers, rates and routes and coordinate the implementation of automation processes.
  • Communicate with Shipment Visibility tools support teams and carrier GPS provider to guarantee the onboarding and successful connection of GPS providers.
  • Perform record/data audit functions to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Manage logistics KPI's. Manage and share information for performance reports, including transit time compliance, shipment plan adherence and cost per case. Assists in the development of continuous process improvement and high-quality service.
  • Implements solutions for shipment visibility issues with carriers.
  • Analyzes executability of the optimized network distribution design and provides feedback of the operational insight. Incidents and exceptions management. Detect operational issues and manage remediation actions to avoid disruptions in our production schedules. Exceptions such as: detentions, deviations, incidents or accidents of units during their transit, damage of materials during transportation, thefts of transportations units, changes in production that my impact the transportation cycles, etc. Tracks accessorial charges for rail car and truck shipments as required.
  • Participates and contributes to the planning, execution, and tracking of Logistics Financial performance. Delivers process improvements related to logistics inefficiencies.
  • Plan and execute training to final internal and external users of TMS and Shipment Visibility tools.
  • Work closely with IDS and business to deliver on CBI's logistics digital journey (YMS, WMS, Load Building, etc.).
  • Maintains database(s) of logistics information.
  • Troubleshoots any issues with data flow in TMS/SAP, WMS, YMS, Ortec, or other digital systems and coordinate action plans with technical teams.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to special projects and external partners presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a STEM Bachelor's degree, logistics degree preferred with 5+ years of experience
  • Recent experience in logistics and distribution of all modes of transportation
  • SAP ERP, TMS, Shipment Visibility tools
  • Power BI experience
  • Experience with GPS tracking systems for transportation companies - EDI & API communications
  • Experience as super user in a TMS platform (Blue Yonder, Oracle, SAP preferred)
  • Experience working in a product-centric development team preferred
  • Experience working in agile processes and frameworks preferred
  • Must have excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to translate analytical skills into high-level analysis
  • Basic programming skills and experience with low/no code platforms (Python, Postman, Javascript)
  • Proficiency within the Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel) is required
  • Must be comfortable working with computers and have the ability to learn new software

  • Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • 20% travel

The salary range for this role is:
$80,400.00 - $120,600.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
