Plant Engineering Manager

Reporting to the Plant Manager at our Indianapolis Bakery facility, you will develop and implement overall plant technical strategies focused on engineering projects and systems. Develop vertical startup processes to ensure implementation of low loss production systems. Provide solutions to technical problems and recommendations for improvements in production activities. Develop plant specific engineering strategies to achieve performance goals. Maintain plant capital project list and work with Corporate Engineering to achieve the capital budget. Lead plant Early Management (EM) Pillar and Utilities team.

How Will You Affect Our Business?

  • Assist plant in establishing safety of all of our team members as the plant's first objective.
  • Lead the implementation of the capital plan including the engagement of related Plant and Corporate functions such as Safety, Sanitation, Quality, Environmental, Operations, Maintenance, Finance and Operations.
  • Collaborate with the plant in setting delineated roles, responsibilities and accountabilities consistent with the principles of CPS.
  • Lead the Early Management Pillar and support building capabilities within pillar and cell teams.
  • Manage the Utilities team and ensure functionality and compliance within our plant utilities processes.
  • Work with Platform Engineering to resource projects.
  • Support the plant in conducting internal systems audits
  • Provide project and technical support to the plant and division
  • Support the plant in participating on and leading project teams that improve safety, quality, labor relations, sanitation, costs and customer service.
  • Demonstrate ability to use available application computer programs.
  • Lead the plant in conducting necessary team meetings for proper communications and development of teams.

Do You Have What It Takes?
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 3+ year's experience in Food Manufacturing
  • Experience with Ammonia/HVAC, glycol, boiler, fire suppression, and utility preventative maintenance
  • Experience with capital projects; up to $10 million
  • Flexible work hours

Compensation: 

Pay Range:$81,000-$118,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
