Location- Columbia MD or St. Paul, MN (Hybrid)

This is a hybrid position primarily based in Columbia, MD or St. Paul, MN. As a Cash Flow Modeler, you will contribute to achieve department goals and meet client service level agreements. As our Cash Flow Modeler you will oversee new deal development and change management of cash flow modelling across a variety of asset classes. This is a key risk and quality control function, and you will be instrumental in improving efficiency and accuracy.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, support, and update financial models for highly complex mortgage-backed securities to support parameters outlined in legal documents
  • Concentrate on continuously improving our existing payment verification process to provide consistent and accurate bond payments
  • Work with internal and external clients to resolve modeling issues related to deal structure, parameters, and deal setups
  • Propose recommendations for automated solutions to replace manual processes (Intex, Access, & Excel)
  • Communicate technical resolutions with team members on issues that impact the payment verification process
  • Work on troubleshooting and problem solving with respect to production and new deal issuance
  • Assist in departmental projects, including the design, programming, analysis, testing and implementation
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve processing issues
  • Assist in departmental procedures, policies, and controls to maintain the accuracy and efficiency of processes

As a process-driven individual, you will be the guiding hand as we deliver accurate and timely cash flow models to Corporate Trust accounts.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience.
  • Programming experience in Excel, Intex, Python, SQL, VBA or other needed.
  • Mortgage finance experience, or securitization modelling experience is preferred
  • Strong grasp of securitized product deal structures and bond payment calculations is a plus

  • Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $55,000- $65,000. This base pay is a national average and may not be applicable to all locations.
