We are really excited to share a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Risk Consultant to join our Global Risk Group.

The role is accountable for the support and oversight of Risk Management within Plans Services.

The Second Line of Defence Senior Risk consultant will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the implementation of the Computershare Enterprise Risk Management framework - including but not limited to Operational Risk Events, Finding Management, Risk and Control Self-Assessment, Reporting, Independent opinion of Business Risks, Business process identification and documentation.

A role you will love

The role will support, oversee and sometimes manage change projects driven by the global risk group, particularly in maturing the risk function and/or improving the risk management culture within the Plans Services Business and those services which provide ancillary support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the independent 2nd line risk coverage for the Plans Services business acting as a constructive and where appropriate challenging partner to the business.
  • Supporting and overseeing Computershare in the execution of its risk management responsibilities, as set out within the CPU Enterprise Risk Framework (included but not limited to Issue Management, Loss Events, Risk and Control Self-Assessment, Key Risk assessments, Risk Appetite and Risk Metrics as well as reporting).
  • Delivering on and sometimes managing strategic/change risk programmes driven globally.
  • Supporting and overseeing the delivery of the Plans business value propostion which may include Third Party Risk, Third Party Due Diligence, Outsourcing and Inter-company agreements relevant to Plans Services.
  • Partnering with colleagues both domestically and within the Global Risk Group to support and oversee Technology Risk and Operational Resilience management in partnership with the respective functional heads.
  • Support the operational development of the GRC tool and delivering training to the first line businesses where necessary.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of data and commentary required for formal reports used in various governance forums and committees relating to Plans Services.
  • Promoting Risk Management in a maturing and diverse global business.

What will you bring to the role?

The role requires an individual who has previous 1st or 2nd line defence risk experience.

Here are the key skills we are looking for:

  • The Senior Risk Consultant will have risk advisory, legal, audit or compliance knowledge, ideally within a global organisation with an aggressive change agenda.
  • The role holder will also have a deep understanding of the Three Lines of Defence and the ability to communicate its benefits.
  • Experience of managing the deployment of a risk programme, ideally within a global organisation.
  • Proven track record working at a senior level across all risk types in a complex, global environment. The role holder may also manage others in a matrix/project environment, which may also involve a mentoring role.
  • Expert ability to quickly analyse situations, demonstrate mental agility and demonstrate sound judgement by being well organised and able to prioritise and manage competing workload demands, as well as being adaptable and able to take on a variety of tasks.
  • The role holder will have the ability to build strong relationships and manage multiple senior stakeholders in a complex business.
