Location: Bristol (Hybrid)

This is a 18 month Part-Time (21 hours / week), Fixed Term Contract

This is a hybrid position primarily based in Bristol. The Regional Financial Accountant will work within the Financial Control team which forms part of the Global Finance department, supporting the Group CFO and global Computershare Group. A role you will love

This position works as part of the UCIA finance team, sharing information among local and global team members. The financial accountant is expected to meet critical time constraints and recognizes the impact of individual performance upon team and company performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in preparation of statutory accounts under local GAAP (UK, Ireland, Jersey)
  • Assisting with delivery of audit evidence and a range of financial control related projects
  • Contribute to both regional and group-wide ad hoc projects including continuous improvements, group initiatives and participation in transformation activity where required.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests in areas related to reporting and financial control deploying accounting and reporting expertise.

What will you bring to the role?

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and qualified accountant, either looking to make your first move into industry from accounting practice or with applicable experience from a similar role.

Key Skills:

  • Part qualified or Qualified Accountant, ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT.
  • Experience in statutory accounts preparation
  • Experience of external audits.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards; further on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Understanding of basic controls in the reporting and other finance processes.
  • Experience of Caseware and Oracle ERP would be beneficial.
