Computershare Plan Managers (CPM) is the division within Computershare responsible for providing administrative services, project management and plan design to Plan Manager clients and their individual employee share plan holders. Plans Implementation is the team within CPM that Implements share plans for new or existing clients.

The Project Manager role operates within this team at a regional level to deliver projects that implement new share plans within agreed timeframes and quality standards in accordance with client expectations, project management process and regulatory guidelines.

The Project Manager is expected to work collaboratively with external clients and across teams within the same region, supporting continuous improvement activity related to the role.

The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery to the defined scope, and quality of share plan implementation projects with medium complexity (as per the Computershare Project Complexity Assessment Model) for clients of Computershare Plan Managers. Projects involve external clients as well as multiple internal teams within Computershare.

The Project Manager works closely with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure all project activity is actioned in order to meet deadlines and deliver the anticipated benefits to the business and client satisfaction.

In addition the role holder will also manage client expectations, negotiate for internal resource and provide appropriate level of reporting and documentation for governance, quality and regulatory requirements.

  • Deliver multiple client facing projects with a medium level of complexity to the agreed scope, quality, timeline and budget to the satisfaction of all stakeholders
  • Create detailed plans for the project and implement monitoring, control and reporting processes using Key Decision Points to ensure that the project realises the benefits.
  • Manage quality and detail of stakeholder requirements to build customer confidence, create long-lasting relationships and meet customers' needs.
  • Influence and manage expectations of senior project stakeholders; both internal and external. Independently discuss service offering for at least two of our plan types and supporting services. Deliver clear and timely communications.
  • Create the project governance, organisational structure and outline clear roles and responsibilities for all workstreams and sub-projects.
  • Work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure alignment of priorities, optimum resource usage and effective communication.
  • Manage, lead, direct and motivate a medium project team.
  • Ensure business readiness for supporting and ongoing administration of new share plans, products and services following project delivery; ensure formal closure of projects with review/lessons learned meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Proven experience of managing, leading and delivering projects with medium complexity
  • Proven track record of delivering projects into an Operational environment with the financial services industry.
  • Proven capability and expertise in Project delivery competencies: Delivery planning, risk and issue management, quality management, project reviews, change control, benefits and knowledge management.
  • Project Managers will have 1-2 years' experience of managing projects in a related or similar environment.
  • Particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project with the ability to produce high quality written documentation, including reports, presentations slides & project plans.
  • Able to analyse complex requirements, balance the needs of both internal and external customers, manage risks and issues, and prioritise based on benefits.
  • Understand both the process for onboarding of new share plans and our service offering.
  • Manage the onboarding of one or more plans for a client for projects with medium complexity.
  • Can independently discuss and present the CPM Onboarding process.
  • Manage medium project teams consisting of internal and external staff to help them deliver the project objectives. Contribute to the project management team by sharing experiences, helping other team members with issues and contributing to knowledge management and continuous improvement activities.
  • Competent people skills - able to motivate team members to deliver in challenging situations.
  • Create and present a vision and set direction, that motivates others to work towards a common goal.
  • Influence decisions with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish and develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, bringing people together to benefit the project.
  • Own decisions and be accountable for decisions made and the output from the project.
  • Ensure the project team is working to full capacity, making best use of available resource.
  • Give feedback on project team performance, individual and as a whole.
  • Recognise and anticipate existing or potential conflicts at an individual or team level.
  • Recognise problems and respond, systematically gather information, sort through complex issues, seek input from others, address root cause of issues, makes timely decisions, and communicates to others.
  • Able to work in an environment of uncertainty and continual change. Able to feel comfortable making decisions and setting direction without having the full picture and re-focus as details emerge. Can apply knowledge and techniques to reduce ambiguity. Be open to new ideas and adjust plans to meet changing needs.
  • Manage and lead a network of senior stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Confident in dealing with external stakeholders e.g., executive level contacts at our clients and/or their vendors.
  • Challenge senior stakeholders to ensure solutions are beneficial to the project/ company.
  • able to build relationships and deal with challenging situations.
  • Able to articulate information clearly and concisely via meetings, presentations, and workshops.
  • Confident in dealing with senior management and executives across all areas of the business.
  • Can tailor communications to suit different levels of audiences.
  • Can present insights from data in engaging and impactful ways.
