A role you will love

As one of our Lead Product Owners, you will be the voice of our customer within our squads and will be responsible for capturing, supporting the creation of, and prioritising the backlog in order to ensure that the correct product features and functionality are delivered and maintained throughout the product lifecycle.

In this role, you will be delivering maximum business value through a well-aligned product roadmap that supports both strategic business and technical goals. Success in this role will depend on strong collaboration with technical and business stakeholders, as well as a deep understanding of the product, its applications, the business areas that rely on it, and the market forces shaping its evolution.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating cross-team initiatives, driving enterprise-level product strategies, and representing product leadership and direction in executive discussions.
  • Communicating effectively with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences to share knowledge and complex ideas.
  • Clearly translating complex business and technical problems to stakeholders.
  • Supporting the squads in defining sprint goals, working collaboratively as a part of the squads to execute and review the sprint, whilst continually improving ways of working.
  • Using agile practices to stay responsive to business needs and to deliver value incrementally.

What will you bring to the role?

As you've probably gathered by now, we are looking for an innovative and detail-oriented person with a real passion for Product Ownership. We are looking for a natural mentor and leader, who has the ability to build and manage excellent relationships with all of our stakeholders and technology teams to deliver exceptional products.

With this role being global and a key part of our team, we are looking for someone with experience in a Product Ownership role within complex environments such as, banking, consulting, asset management, brokering, issuer services or customer services. You will need to come with exceptional stakeholder management experience given this is a role where you will be working with Stakeholders from across the globe.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Leadership experience, specifically within agile environments, with experience managing backlogs, and the ability to drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Significant experience liaising with stakeholders to understand needs, propose solutions and translate these for other members of the Squad.
  • Experience in agile requirements techniques including Personas, Story Mapping, Product Roadmaps, Backlog Management etc.
  • Experience of Agile software development, working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, encouraging the adoption and continues improvement of practices.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to collect and analyse complex material data.
  • Any formal qualifications or certifications as a Product Owner or equivalent is desirable.
