The CoSec Compliance Associate is an exciting role within the Governance Services team, it continues the expansion in providing professional company secretarial services to local, global, listed, and unlisted clients. This role will primarily work with the global entity compliance team but will occasionally play a role in supporting local listed company clients with their company secretarial needs.

Be a valued part of a small and growing company secretarial compliance team. Working on both routine and at times urgent work that may be time pressured and mission critical.

You'll thrive in an engaging role focused on delivering exceptional compliance, governance, and transaction-related services to a diverse range of clients. You'll be responsible for drafting key documents, preparing compliance forms, and advising clients on regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will update our GEMS system and provide essential support for governance advisory projects

Some of your key responsibilities may include:

  • Support managed services and advisory engagements for Australian and New Zealand compliance filings to ASIC and NZCO
  • Draft governance documents (board minutes and resolutions, correspondence, reports) and advise clients on good practices
  • Utilise technology to enhance service delivery
  • Maintain technical expertise and contribute to development of delivery process and templates
  • Build and manage strong team and internal client relationships
  • Improve operational efficiency through streamlined processes and reporting
  • Assist with research and onboarding of new clients
  • Collaborate with Finance on client invoicing and documentation

What will you bring to the role?

We are looking for a driven professional with a strong passion for success and a solid understanding of corporate compliance business practices, risk management, and corporate laws, regulations and filings. Your proactive approach and commitment to excellence will be essential in making a meaningful impact in this role.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience in a company secretarial, corporate administration and or legal administrative role
  • Develop and maintain subject matter technical knowledge and service delivery templates, risk registers, processes, tools and materials
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy

Desired skills:

  • Experience with entity management, legal matter management and/or billing systems supporting service delivery
  • Experience in company compliance, working with ASIC, NZCO, ASX rules and regulations
