A role you will love

In this role you will have business analyst and team lead responsibilities. The business analyst role requires you to work closely with the business and technology teams to produce high quality solutions which meet client, operational and regulatory needs and drive change.

You will be responsible for gathering requirements, documenting and ensuring analysis best practices are adhered to using your knowledge of technology, tools and techniques. You will collaborate and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the business and across regions.

As a team lead, you will manage a small team of Business Analysts engaged in projects within our portfolio.

You will be responsible for people management across the team, ensuring the right people are in the right roles with a strong focus on building future capabilities. This involves career development for staff, coaching, performance appraisals, regular management meetings and conflict management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with a variety of stakeholders to elicit and translate business needs into business and functional requirements, document them and communicate these to the delivery teams in a timely fashion
  • Facilitate and provide leadership in requirements elicitation meetings by using various elicitation techniques and finding innovative ways to solve problems
  • Work collaboratively and build relationships with internal stakeholders, managing their expectations to ensure the business objectives are being delivered
  • Lead, direct and manage a team to ensure they understand the responsibilities applicable to their roles and conduct themselves in a way commensurate with company values
  • Actively manage performance, develop talent and identify training requirements to ensure current and future skill requirements are met
  • Work with the Head of Business Analysis to prioritise the pipeline of work for the team, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately across various projects
  • Apply the proportionate level of quality assurance and risk management to all change projects to ensure they deliver to the business' requirements and deliver the agreed benefits

What will you bring to the role?

We're looking for someone that can evidence extensive experience of working as a business analyst, ideally in a global organisation, with knowledge of a broad range of business analysis tools, techniques and frameworks.

In addition, you will have:

  • Good leadership skills with proven line management experience managing other Business Analysts
  • Experience coaching and mentoring analysts
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and tailor communication to different audiences
  • Strong analytical skills and accomplished problem-solver who constructively challenges the status quo
  • Substantial knowledge of Agile lifecycle methodology
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver tactical and strategic business solutions
  • Commercially aware and understanding of benefit realisation
