Senior Director, Revenue Strategy & Operations

As a Senior Director, Revenue Strategy & Operations on our Central Operations Team, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our pricing model and customer renewals program. In this role, you will report to the VP, Central Operations and will partner closely with brokerage leadership to build alignment on revenue strategies that meet financial objectives while maintaining world-class customer retention. You will bridge strategy to execution and oversee an operations team that manages our customer account agreements.

You are a natural self-starter, excited to join a resourceful and solutions-oriented team in a fast-paced environment to build efficiency and scale, elevate customer experiences, and fuel Compass’ success. The Director will be expected to lead their team members to collaborate on highly complex, highly dynamic projects with multiple cross functional business and technical partners (including sales, sales leadership, Compass Agents, business systems, finance, legal, and company leadership).

*This is a fully on-site role in our Union Square office* 

At Compass You Will:

  • Lead our revenue strategy function, overseeing customer renewal and partnering directly with strategic growth and brokerage leadership to design and implement strategic pricing models 
  • Understand our business and data and work collaboratively to use data-driven insights and have a fact-base for everything you do
  • Drive alignment on priorities and deliverables with counterparts and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of partnership and create a feedback loop between teams by developing and implementing communication strategies, facilitating the sharing of best practices, and soliciting feedback
  • Communicate updates, findings, and insights to diverse audiences in partnership with your initiatives’ working teams
  • Monitor progress against key success metrics and escalate concerns to ensure the right actions are taken to course correct
  • Provide thought partnership and relevant subject matter expertise to inform strategy and execution path.
  • Assist with ad-hoc, high priority projects as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality, as appropriate, regarding the work you are helping to lead
  • Reinforce a low-ego, highly collaborative environment

 

Who you are:

  • You have 10+ combined years of experience in revenue operations in a strategic capacity
  • You have experience leading complex, cross-functional business transformation projects
  • You have worked within a high-growth company and have experience taking something from zero to one and one to two
  • You enjoy and excel in navigating a highly collaborative and highly matrixed environment
  • You are a low-ego facilitator and collaborator, who allows solutions to be developed by consensus and ensure all stakeholders are heard and understood
  • Top-notch stakeholder management, leadership skills, and ability to drive results
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and acute attention to detail, allowing you to think big, adapt quickly, and act fast
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of driving recommendations and decisions rooted in qualitative and quantitative data
  • Highly proficient and comfortable working with spreadsheets and large data sets (SQL, Tablea)
  • Ability to multi-task and handle several deadlines simultaneously
  • Can thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Open to feedback and agile in your approach to your work

The base pay range for this position is $156,500-$234,600 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
