Compass is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Events Associate to support the planning and execution of the company’s extensive programming, distinctive external events, and key brand partnerships. The mission of the Compass National Events team is to create experiences that connect and inspire our agents, and help elevate the Compass brand.
This role will help design and deliver events including our premier annual national conference, the Compass RETREAT, large-scale cross-regional events, partnership activations, and a variety of other one-off events.

In this Role You Will:
- Assist on all facets of event production for nationwide experiences scaling from intimate 30 person events to 2000+ person conferences
- Lead research and vetting to develop a bank of preferred vendors and brand appropriate venues nationally
- Coordinate pre-event planning elements like vendor contact information, AV needs, signage needs, design requests, billing, menu planning, and more
- Help create effective communications campaigns to directly promote events and to keep key stakeholders updated
- Serve as a primary onsite/day-of coordinator, ensuring timely execution of all event logistics for several events through the year
- Learn an event management system, lead invite creation and guest list management
- Research partnership opportunities
- Coordinate event sponsorships
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry, cleaning and organizing spreadsheets, and assisting with vendor payment processing and expense tracking.
- Manage the events team inbox, responding promptly to inquiries and providing timely information and support.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Event Planning, Hospitality, Real Estate, or a related field
- 1-2 year of professional experience in events, partnerships, and/or sponsorships
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in events and partnerships
- Ability to work within a budget
- Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Superior planning and organizational skills
- Adept problem solving skills with focus on efficient, quick and consistent execution
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Stellar ability to manage multiple projects and work on assignments from a variety of individuals (agents and employees alike)
- Proactive self-starter attitude with ability to work independently and execute tasks with little direct supervision
- Collaborative and comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is a base pay of $67,000 to $72,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
