Collins Aerospace is looking for a Global Trade (GT) Principal Specialist, Technology Management to support all business functions of our Advanced Structures Global Trade Program. This individual will be responsible for providing classification expertise including issuing classification guidance, providing regulatory interpretation, support to investigations, and executing classification strategies. The individual will ensure consistency of Technology Management (TM) practices and guidance to operations sites across the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) globally and will interpret and execute global trade policies and procedures for the Technology Management function.Position Type: Hybrid (Haltom City, TX or Chula Vista, CA)Primary Responsibilities:

- Support daily tactical Technology Management processes
- Harmonized System (HS) and Jurisdiction and Classification (JC) subject matter expert for Advanced Structures commodities, technical data, technology, and software
- Ability to grow and sustain the HS and JC focal network programs
- Monitor past due requests and inactive classifiers within xClass to drive quality and on-time delivery
- Perform export and import audits, classifier audits, and reclassification driven audits
- Develop, support, and implement Technology Management related initiatives
- Drive collection of Technology Management data and analysis for Dashboard metrics
- Assist TM Manager and TM team on projects, strategic activities, training, and other Global Trade and Technology Management activities
- Support investigations, corrective actions, and voluntary disclosures for TM
- Provide guidance to site functional teams regarding visitor management, technology marking, technology transfer methods, international travel, reporting and other administrative requirements for compliance
- Ability to analyze and apply regulations to various import and export business processes and functions.
- Strong writing and communications skills, and proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office applications
- Travel up to 10%, domestic and international
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
- Minimum 2 years' experience with customs and import and/or export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in US Export Jurisdiction and Classification (JC) and/or Harmonized Schedule (HS) classifications
- 5 years import/export experience in the aerospace industry
- Understanding of Collin's classification requirements, processes, and tools
- Experience with SAP/GTS or other ERP application
- Knowledge of Advanced Structures product lines
- Ability to classify for Non-US Export Regulations
- Understanding of Collin's workflows and processes, such as xClass, Texport, GTS block releases, CAP, AMOC
