Coinbase is looking for an IT Audit Senior to join the Internal Audit team focusing primarily on SOX/ICFR compliance audits. This role is based in the United States (Remote) and will be reporting to an Internal IT Audit Manager. The individual will be responsible for executing all aspects of audits, including planning, walkthroughs, testing, deficiency remediation, and report writing. The individual has experience in IT SOX and has an understanding of ITGCs, automated application controls, IPE and SOX 404 requirements.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Responsible for executing internal controls testing in support of the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) 404 Compliance Program.
- Conducting SOX Scoping for inhouse developed, purchased or external IT systems and service providers.
- Supporting and creating SOX ready documentation including narratives, flow charts, control descriptions, etc.
- Designing and identifying key controls for IT systems and applications that impact financial reporting for the company.
- Build trust and maintain positive relationships with internal partners, cross-functional teams, and external auditors
- Coordinate and lead process walk-throughs with functional IT partners and external auditors.
- Assist in managing questions from staff level team members.
- Prepare clear, accurate and complete workpapers in accordance with quality standards; meet project timelines and deliverable due dates.
- Reviewing, assessing, and evaluating reported control deficiencies, root causes, and planned corrective actions in conjunction with IT and business process owners.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems/ computer science or equivalent.
- Minimum 4-5 years of IT audit experience.
- CISA, CISSP or similar certification.
- Strong technical skills including, SOX, NIST, Risks, Controls, ITGC Processes.
- Big 4 or public company audit experience.
- Proficient in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- Ability to partner across the organization (Finance, IT, Compliance, External Audit etc.).
- Must be detailed oriented; able to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Solid analytical, and research skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, enthusiastic, and motivated.
Nice to haves:
- Experience working in a rapid growth environment in financial services, payments or technology companies.
- Experience in crypto and digital assets industry
