Position Summary

The radiographic aide I is responsible for assisting technologists and radiology nursing staff with coordination of patient flow to include but not limited to: exam room preparation, supply and linen management, screening patients for exams/procedures, patient transport, exam room turn over.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Assist in verifying and accompanying patients from the waiting room to exam areas.
  • Prepares patients for procedures to include but not limited to contrast and metal screening, gowning and positioning.
  • Assist in procedure room preparation to include but not limited to stacking of linen, stocking of supplies, cleaning and disinfection of equipment, requesting of EVS and linen services as needed.
  • Coordinates patient transport, and transports patients as needed.
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

Minimum Education:
  • High School or equivalent.
Required Certification/Licensure:
  • BLS (through the American Heart Association).
Preferred Experience:
  • Prior Customer Service Volunteer work is preferred.

  • To protect the health of patients and staff and to comply with new State of California mandates, City of Hope staff are required to show proof of full vaccination by September 30, 2021. Compliance is a condition of employment.
