Salesforce Technical Architect

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking Salesforce Technical Architect. The individual will be primarily responsible for configuring and customizing Chewy’s Salesforce applications.

Responsibilities include customizing our existing Sales Cloud implementations, implementing SFDC integrations, day-to-day troubleshooting of system issues, and documenting & configuring systems.

This individual will be required to be familiar with Agile processes and effectively communicate, think analytically, and solve problems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions, including custom apps, integrations, and process automation using Salesforce tools and third-party technologies.
  • Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Develop high-quality code with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
  • Oversee the Salesforce development lifecycle, from design through testing and deployment, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used in the organization
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Salesforce developers and team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases and new technologies, advocating for their implementation where beneficial.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in Salesforce systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement in our Salesforce practice.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Minimum of 8 years of total software development experience.
  • Proficient in Apex, Lightning Component Framework, Aura, and Salesforce APIs (REST, Bulk, Streaming).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, architecture, and limitations.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations and third-party applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Travel expectation: 10%

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-On Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Candidates holding any Salesforce developer certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II) will stand out
