Within Operational Services, the Strategic Transformation Management (STM) team helps to drive transformation across Transformation Solutions and Services (TSS) and the Operational Services organization. We use a variety of methodologies, tools, and capabilities to drive large-scale change and partner with teams across Schwab to deliver on our annual commitments.

As the STM Sr. Manager, Business Strategy, you will play a critical role in supporting the launch and success of Ops Services transformational programs focused on areas related to intake, prioritization, and planning processes, among others. You will assist with program coordination, reporting, and engagement, working with partners and leaders across Ops Services as well as cross-enterprise teams. You will have a high-visibility role in the overall management of annual and off-cycle strategic initiative portfolio planning processes.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for intake management for Operational Services enterprise portfolio.
  • Support Operational Services strategic initiative planning community engagement to ensure all participants understand planning processes, timelines, standards, and governance.
  • Coordinate and oversee the investment change management processes to support timely decisioning and execution.
  • Provide program transparency and support through reporting and participation in governance forums.
  • Monitor, analyze and review program feedback to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Provide ad hoc STM strategy and decision-making support, including Ops Portfolio Management buildout and approach.

What you have

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, or 8+ years relevant experience.
  • Project and or Program Management experience, certifications a bonus.
  • Proved process development experience in a business management setting.
  • Proven ability to manage complex planning processes across several inflight initiatives, and to manage a portfolio of projects/work streams.
  • Demonstrated experience in annual planning, intake and prioritization, portfolio management, and agile delivery.

  • Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure and with ambiguity
  • Ability to navigate and be successful in a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong influencing and motivating skills; demonstrated success in building credibility and strong relationships with peers and key stakeholders across organizational boundaries (at the Director and Managing Director level)
  • Strong track record of team building, talent development, and people leadership
  • Strong proven business leadership and ability to drive multi-discipline, multi-level teams to deliver exceptional results
