Position Summary
Supports the budget function of the College as a member of the budget department team by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data for the purpose of institutional planning and decision-making. Performs special projects and provides overall support to college-wide budgeting functions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides overall professional support, assistance and guidance, to departments and contribute to the institution's budget process, keying in transactional data, monitoring, analyzing budget allocations spending data to determine financial resources. Assist in developing information to support institutional decision-making, reviewing department budgets, and adjusting budget expenditure estimates and fund balances, attending budget committee meetings to assist Associate Budget Director, Director or Associate VP, and reviewing budget requests.
- Assists in conducting research and special studies to help generate statistical data reports for planning and decision making, which includes coordinating data collection and analysis, tabulating data, providing support during presentations of collected information in various formats, and ensuring data integrity.
- Assists in initiating, planning, and coordinating budget-training activities and prepares budget-related training materials when assigned.
- Creates and develops spreadsheets as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and one (1) year of directly related experience including coursework in public or business administration, accounting, financial management or a closely related occupation

Preferences:
- Two (2) or more years of professional experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or institutional planning within a higher education or public sector environment.
- Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Workday, Ellucian Banner, or a similar financial management system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation, charts).
