What you will be doing

People management

Your new team serves one of Cencora's global business units. Having started its operations in Lithuania a year ago, the team has grown to 5 people. While the main focus of this additional role is operational first, you will also be responsible for providing daily leadership to ensure the teams is motivated and connected. This will include coaching, performance management, building a culture of continuous improvement and managing the development of the team members.

The team operates in a matrix set up - functional team leads provide additional guidance on operational priorities and process design. This will require daily collaboration.

Operational focus

Your operational focus will lie on the execution of the processes and activities in the Record to Report (RTR) department in accordance with established procedures in such a way that the correct and complete information is available in time (Month end closing, internal controls, management reporting, auditors). This role will take the ownership of one legal entity but also serves as a back up for the other entities. This function has an operational focus (80%), but also a people management focus (20%)

Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Providing on site people management and building a motivated team with a culture of continuous improvement
  • Initiating, leading and participating in (cross-departmental) projects, especially in the financial/administrative field.
  • Maintaining a good relationship with the business and other finance colleagues (accounts receivable, payable and business control)

Financial administration

  • Managing the month end close process and ensuring that all closing tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Managing the fixed asset administration, monitoring investments, calculating depreciation and taking care of charging;
  • Processing of manual journal vouchers
  • Supervising work relating to the (sub)general ledger administration, assessing information, results, etc. and detecting and solving imperfections;
  • Ensuring that reservations are drawn up and balance sheet specifications are reconciled and discussed, any corrections made, and risks identified in a timely manner;
  • Ensure the preparation of the profit and loss account, balance sheet, key figures and concise explanations, in such a way that a faithful picture is given of the achieved results;
  • Preparing and filing VAT returns;
  • Responsible for the monthly execution of internal controls, including initiating improvements and annual testing of the controls in Archer.
  • Support with audits (accountant, tax, internal)
  • Back up function for critical processes
  • Quality oversight on the AP, AR function

  • Takes initiatives to improve the RTR administration processes/ KPIs.

What your background should look like

Education and experience

  • Bachelor/ Master degree working and thinking level
  • Knowledge and experience with financial modules ERP systems and Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • 4 years of experience in similar finance role
