The Associate Analyst - Security and Safety (AA -SS) will serve as a member of the CDW Global Safety, Security, and Business Continuity team, reporting to the Manager - Security and Safety. The AA - SS will contribute to the intelligence, physical security, and insider threat programs. This role will assist in improving CDW's security posture, with a particular emphasis on situational intelligence and analysis. The AA-SS will contribute to and assist in leading the development of CDW's intelligence program, contributing written products, assisting in editing work by GSOC Specialists, and helping direct the program. Additionally, the AA-SS will assist in project and standard management for CDW's physical security systems. This role will ensure that all security systems installed meet existing standards and will help to implement new technologies aimed at improving overall system performance. Successful performance in this role will require a high degree of motivation and the ability to adapt to fluid and dynamic security situations facing CDW globally.
A successful AA-SS candidate must be highly organized, demonstrate the ability to maintain discretion, remain flexible at all times, and demonstrate the ability to adjust to changing operational requirements as directed by operational needs.

  • Assist in the deployment of physical security systems to all new sites, ensuring that all deployments meet CDW's Physical Security Standard.
  • Assist and lead project deployment and management for new physical security systems.
  • Participate, lead, and/or organize cross-functional training events and classes across GSSBC departments, as directed.
  • Take an active leadership role in CDW's security threat intelligence program. Including directing topics, collection requirements, writing/editing analytic products, and disseminating products and briefings.
  • Conduct and facilitate trainings for team members to ensure continued program improvements.
  • Build positive relationships across the enterprise to determine customer needs, tailor future products, ensure that intelligence produced by the GSSBC team meet the needs of the business.
  • Conduct or assist with complex investigations and regularly evaluate compliance with CDW policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Monitor threat intelligence and create or adapt threat mitigation procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct site surveys and risk assessments

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a field that demonstrates experience demonstrating deep understanding of analytic writing, global events, and intelligence; OR

  • 4 year of corporate security experience with a focus on demonstrating deep understanding of analytic writing, global events, and intelligence.
    Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with receiving, understanding, contributing to, and incorporating intelligence reporting into operational planning

  • Demonstrated previous experience related to security and safety operations and communications, demonstrated experience providing security training to others, familiarity with training and executing active-shooter protocols, evacuation procedures, or other relevant security experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.)
  • Ability to move office equipment and associated technical hardware, frequently 30+ pounds.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
