Here's what you'll be working on:

Media Relations

  • Create communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events, and promotions.
  • Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related marketing materials. Guarantee all content is publication-ready.
  • Develop relationships with critical trade media outlets, including fielding media questions and successfully pitching stories to the media.
  • Organize press conferences with new customers
  • Prepare detailed media activity reports
  • Respond to communication-related issues on time.

Blog and Social Media

  • Create a blog calendar that is published weekly. Either ghostwrite or source content from internal subject matter experts. Ensure that content aligns with approved GTM messaging.
  • Manage all Carbyne Social Media accounts, including planning daily content for each channel that is bespoke to that channel.
  • Work closely with the design team to create visual content specifically for Carbyne's social channels.
  • Obtain proper approvals before posting
  • Monitor and encourage engagement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • A confident communicator and presenter

  • Have a full understanding of media needs and media relationships
  • Be proactive, reliable, responsible, and accurate with attention to detail

  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management

The pay range for this position in California is $100,000 - $120,000 + equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401K). Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
