As a Senior Manager, Project Manager at Capital One in Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM), you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. You will lead and partner with world-class professionals to develop and deliver strategies and projects that ultimately impact the bottom line. You will do it all in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation. You will apply your project, change management, and problem solving skills to collaborate with teams within, and beyond ESM as you align and deliver on projects and change management strategies that enable transformation and ensure a positive associate experience.

General Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects and change management program workstreams that deliver strategic results for ESM
  • Shape & drive change management strategy to accelerate & sustain progress toward ESM's Strategic Priorities, including acquisition integration and technology transformation
  • Assess impact of ESM initiatives on key groups including ESM leaders & associates, line of business Accountable Executives (AE) for supplier relationships, suppliers and risk stakeholders
  • Collaborate with ESM's Strategic Priority AEs & related workstream members to weave change aspects into overall work plans, including change outputs into communications & training plans
  • Develop and drive an ESM-wide inventory and roadmap of change impacts and associated training & communication needs to ensure adoption of changes
  • Display excellent relationship building, influencing, communication, and problem solving skills, which are essential for working with key stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform and influence outcomes
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to provide thought partnership strategically and tactically, and quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
  • Ability to apply various change management methodologies
  • Work in ambiguity and quickly adapt to changing priorities and project direction
  • Create and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Demonstrate effective people leadership experience with emphasis on development and engagement

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 3 years of leading change and transformational projects
  • At least 1 year of experience in People Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or MBA
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience
  • 4+ years of experience supporting, partnering or interacting with internal business clients
  • 3+ years of People Management experience
  • 2+ years of Supplier Management and/or Risk Management experience
  • Certification in Project Management or Change Management
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900 for Sr Manager, Project Management

Richmond, VA: $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr Manager, Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
