What you'll do
• Collaborate with Brand Strategy, Advertising, Sponsorships, Social, Corporate
Communications and Marketing & Analysis teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns
• Support Brand, product and Sponsorship campaigns across mass media channels including video, print, audio, digital, social and OOH platforms
• Monitor, analyze and report on the competitive media expenditure environment. Keep a pulse on industry trends, competitor products, market shifts, and other factors to understand the competitive landscape
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the financial services media expenditure competitive category
• Support enterprise responsibilities across measurement, portfolio planning, budget management and contracting
• Leverage past experience with cross-media measurement studies, marketing mix models, multi-touch attribution, and other attribution models
• Develop paid media plans that drive innovation and impact by incorporating new channels and using traditional channels in unique ways
• Evaluate research, develop points of view and craft paid media strategies and tactics to address business objectives
• Lead Brand and LOB media plan execution and maintenance; manage media authorizations, flowcharts, and plan actualizations
• Stay current with media trends and identify opportunity areas
• Build strong agency partner and media vendor relationships
• Track, benchmark and report on key performance metrics
• Influence partners within brand and across the enterprise on media strategy via succinct, data driven presentation
• Support governance and integration across media responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
• At least 4 years in a marketing or advertising role

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree

• 5+ years of experience managing national and local integrated media campaigns and budgets with strong experience activating on social media platforms

• 5+ years of experience monitoring, analyzing and reporting on the media competitive landscape via competitive intelligence tools such as Vivixx, Kantar, Comscore, Pathmatics or Nielsen

• Experience writing briefs and working with marketing strategy and agency partners

• Proven communication and influence skills

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects based on business critical needs

• Strong quantitative skills in regards to budget and data reporting management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $118,700 - $135,400 for Principal Associate, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
