Job Title: Senior Application Engineer (Digital Design & Verification)
Location: Katowice or Warsaw, Poland
Reports to: Sr Principal Application Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
The Engineer's primary responsibility will be RTL design and verification.
- Responsibilities on the design side will include function definition, micro-architectural specification, implementation, simulation, verification, and synthesis at module and subsystem levels.
- With deep understanding of architecture and IP-level functions, such as communication protocols, the engineer will contribute to the specification and creation of complex Systems on Chip (SoC) designs.
- The verification side includes pre-silicon RTL verification on block, subsystem and top level.
- With meticulous attention to details, the engineer will interact with all disciplines to develop reusable test benches and verification environments deploying the latest methodologies on metric-driven verification.
- As a member of the System Design Enablement team at Cadence in Europe, the engineer will work closely with SoC architects and senior experts, deploying Cadence technology in demanding customer projects, creating leading-edge SoCs for automotive, networking, and consumer markets.
Job Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- Understanding of digital design flows.
- Knowledge of hardware and verification languages (e.g. Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, SystemC).
- Nice-to-have previous experience with state-of-art RTL design & synthesis tools, verification approaches and tools.
- Strong motivation to quickly learn Cadence verification tools, flows and methodologies.
- Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, shells, programming and scripting (one of Perl, TCL or Python).
- Good communication skills and ability to work remotely.
- Team player.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel across Europe and work with customers (< 5%).
