We are looking for an Application Engineer in Digital Implementation
Location: Sophia-Antipolis, France
Reports to: AE Director
Job Overview:
We are looking for an application engineer to support cutting edge physical implementation projects related to various applications in the Automotive, 5G, or HPC market on advanced process nodes. You will work with a team of experienced and talented engineers along with a team of EDA tool experts in the background.
This role is ideal for someone with a good understanding of IC/ASIC digital design or implementation preferably using Innovus and Genus.
Based in our office in Sophia-Antioplis, France, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a highly experienced local team in a global organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support leading edge IC/ASIC design and Implementation using Cadence IC Digital Implementation products e.g. Genus, Innovus.
- Participate in bringing up new flows at customer sites.
- Help deliver update trainings at customer sites.
- Use skills/knowledge to debug issues and work directly on customer IC/ASIC design projects.
- Provide technical support to sales team to identify opportunities to proliferate Cadence products.
- Communicate customer requirements and feedback to the Engineering and Marketing organizations for product direction/improvements.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related discipline. 5 to 15 years of experience in microelectronics/EDA industry.
- Languages: Fluent in French and English.
- Experience in digital IC/ASIC implementation.
- Expected to have knowledge of Verilog/VHDL hardware description language.
- Have a working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, C-shell, TCL/TK programming and scripting.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning would be advantageous.
- Experience with IC Digital Implementation tools - ideally Genus, Innovus & Tempus. Any additional knowledge of Conformal, Quantus, Voltus would be advantageous.

- Be prepared to travel and work at customer sites throughout Europe.
