Working Student - Global Learning & Development

WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Working Student for the team of Global Learning & Development will have a key role in supporting the operational quality and execution of our global training events, in particular with a focus on supporting our faculty (trainers and facilitators). Our training programs are essential for consulting staff in building core capabilities, helping them to develop their networks and providing them with affiliation opportunities.

The programs you will support will vary and will be cover both live in-person training as well as live virtual training. Program sizes range from around 30 to 150 participants and take place throughout the year. The core audience you will support will be learners in our leadership cohorts.

You can work up to 20 hours / week during your semesters and up to 40 hours / week during your vacation time. The role offers enough flexibility to combine personal, academic and professional life. This is a temporary role from min. 12 to max. 24 months. You need to be an enrolled university student in Germany.

YOU'RE GOOD AT
We are looking for someone who relishes working in an internationally diverse team. An individual who has a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, is highly organized, is energized and skilled by organizing and hosting events (be that virtually, hybrid and/or in person), is able to learn new technologies and systems quickly, is confident and comfortable in a virtual setting as well as being prepared to deliver outstanding service in any onsite event.

To be successful you will need to have the ability to think on your feet, to problem solve and to communicate at all levels to deliver quality experiences for our participants and trainers. You will also need to show that you can operate independently as well as having the ability to work as a team, that you can handle multiple tasks at one time and that you have the experience in adapting to last minute changes and demands.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Support the faculty team in scheduling and organizing trainers for each event
Ensure the faculty database is up to date and accurate
Assist the Learning and Development coordinators in running successful training events
Correspond with internal and external contacts
Internet searches to support team objectives
Preparation of conference and training documents
Being present at some training events to support the team in all aspects of operational success
Preparation and presentation of data in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Additional tasks and project work as required

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Currently enrolled student, ideally with a focus on event management, marketing and/or other disciplines like HR
Firsthand experience in event management beneficial
Passionate about organizing and planning events with strong attention to detail
Computer literate; particularly using Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word
Confidence in using data and analytics
Excellent verbal and written English language skills
Strong customer service centered approach to work
* Team player who is approachable, committed, flexible and reliable
This is a key support role for the team and can be busy during peak periods, so remaining calm under pressure is also necessary.
YOU'LL WORK WITH
A passionate and dedicated Learning & Development team, who are currently spread across North America, Europe and India. As a complex matrix structured organization you will also work with L&D teams in our local systems across our regions as well as with counterparts and colleagues in our Global L&D teams. You will establish strong relationships across our people functions and beyond to successfully learn, educate and influence others.
