Senior Knowledge Analyst - Financial Institutions

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Knowledge Analyst (SKA) within BCG's Financial Institutions (FI) Practice Area (PA), you will work in BCG's Spanish Speaking South America team primarily, as well as global team, providing industry and/or functional expertise and insights whilst working together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis, and expert advisory. You'll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams, topic/sector leaders & external clients, helping structure and solve complex issues.

Our role expectations are:
Working with case / proposal teams by providing analysis to drive insight into specific client issues
Getting staffed on cases and working from client-site or BCG office for a duration of couple of months

Managing and processing industry focus analysis requests, and assisting consultants with industry specific problems
Interacting with local teams and use an extensive collection of internal and external information resources to gather, filter, synthesize, package and deliver insights to case teams and clients
Carrying strong experience in assessing the financial performance of financial institutions, and strong business analytics capabilities
Working on cases and content pieces with special focus on Banking/FI space (on topics such as Retail Banking, Payments & Fintech, Digital/Tech in FI), SSA market specific expertise (banking landscape, company results, revenue pools, market sizing, product & segment analysis), and select experience on digitalization, transformation, customer journeys, growth / GTM strategy. Guide and provide inputs to client/team members leading to successful execution of strategy on above topics.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Work with case (and proposal) teams

With guidance from senior team members, Partners/MDPs & case teams to identify & address critical topical knowledge & expertise for cases & solve client problems
Participates in client calls and workshops and eventually co-lead modules leveraging the own knowledge, proprietary data assets and deploying specific methodologies

Provides customized knowledge for client work, prepares accurate, well-developed documents and charts

Creating reports on new trends, new topics, regulations etc. highlighting overall impact on SSA Financial Institutions or SSA Banking space

Identify key performance indicators for players in Financial Institutions ecosystem and analyze data to generate insights

Support client proposals by compiling data and relevant information, providing research, topic input to the proposal team

Work with topic/sector teams

The SKA will work closely with the local BCG FI leadership in SSA to own and drive performance benchmarks for industry and players

Collaborates & maintains the development of new knowledge through participation in knowledge development projects, database, surveys, tools, etc.

Promotes innovation at BCG by identifying knowledge capture opportunities - Develops best practice material on various SSA banking topics to be used by teams or shared with clients

Contributes to building sector/topic/ teams and suggests emerging topic/sectors based on client demand & BCG's global work

Develops additional proprietary knowledge for the Firm like creation of databases, supporting whitepapers and internal knowledge documents

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

1-2+ years of consulting experience in relevant Banking, Payments & Fintech or Digital in FI areas; candidates with consulting experience preferred.
In lieu of consulting experience, 2+ years minimum industry experience required; 3-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
CA/CFA/MBA Degree (preferably in Finance/Banking)
Fluency in English and Spanish; effective written and verbal communication
Strong analytical skills capability along with strong financial acumen
Ability to multi-task & operate effectively, independently, proactively & curiously, in a matrix organization in a fast-paced environment
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment.
