Global Revenue and Commercial Support Analyst

WHAT YOU'LL DO
The role requires understanding the details of how commercial activity translates into the revenue that is recorded for both management and external reporting under US GAAP. The position involves work on complex revenue related concepts and reporting sensitive subjects, therefore the ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner is critical. The position also requires the use of various accounting and finance systems to investigate complex revenue issues and perform analysis for senior leaders of the firm.
Manage global revenue mailboxes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in addressing queries from local offices.
Produce global revenue reports, perform analysis, and escalate or address exceptions.

Prepare process documentation and develop an end-to-end understanding of the client engagement life cycle.
Perform cross finance system (SAP, HFM, Oracle) reconciliations to ensure control and governance in global revenue reporting.
Develop strong professional relationships with local finance teams, actively manage stakeholders' expectations.
Build a strong understanding of the commercial practices of the firm including non-core business units and use that knowledge to interpret weekly revenue activity, investigate transactions, and summarize key items.
Provide operational support, accounting guidance and training on revenue topics to the global finance community.
Prepare, review and design reporting for senior leadership on a regular basis.
Manage large volume of requests and inquiries - prioritization and driving work forward - largely independently with support wherever required.
Participate in various revenue related adhoc projects and reporting.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Identifying issues with a risk-based lens.
Understanding of project life cycle and financial systems
Communicating complex items to stakeholders at various levels
US GAAP revenue recognition
Leveraging existing tools and designing new scalable reports to understand and share information with the team and leadership.
Applying judgement, anticipating the next questions, and making supportable recommendations on approach
Building relationships to stay connected to the business.
Independent prioritization and workload management

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

2-3 years of accounting or finance-related work experience; bachelor's degree required CPA or similar designation preferred.
Strong analytic skills and experience with reporting tools required (Microsoft Excel, SAP Business Objects, PowerPoint, Tableau and Alteryx)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

YOU'LL WORK WITH
This position is an integral part of the Global Revenue and Commercial Support team. This team is part of a larger Global Accounting and Control (GAC) function under the direction of the Global Finance Director & Corporate Controller. The GAC team has various responsibilities including the consolidation and reporting of BCG's global financial information on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. In addition, GAC is responsible for establishing various accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. The team provides decision support to local offices around the world and serves as a knowledge center across a broad range of accounting, financial systems, and internal control topics.
