What You'll Do

BCG is looking for an Expert Partner & Director to help our clients generate value through collaborating in Joint Ventures and Alliances. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in designing, building, operating, governing, and supporting Joint Ventures & Alliances.

In this role, you will support the execution of projects for multiple client engagements, bringing joint ventures expertise to the teams. You will direct and supervise research activities to obtain relevant data and define client needs and challenges, furnish teams with case studies and solutions and provide your expert input based on your past experiences. Working alongside BCG and client project leaders, you will contribute expertise, synthesize recommendations, challenge work in progress, and re-orient analyses as necessary. You will also drive commercial growth by supporting colleagues in their business development activities, originating leads and acting as a key topic content lead for proposals or other business development work in the Joint Ventures & Alliances topic space.

Our Expert Consulting Track (ECT)

The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG's ability to successfully meet our clients' demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the 'best of BCG' to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

20+ years of industry and/or consulting experience (preferred) with a focus on Joint Ventures & Alliances. Someone recognized as a world class expert and has the ability to provide strategic advice to CEOs and in due course lead a team of experts.
Demonstrated experience in building Joint Ventures and related Alliances business models, developing joint venture/alliance strategy, identifying partners for joint ventures/alliances, implementing joint venture/partnership agreements with partners across multiple industries and geographies; on-boarding and separating from partners; and developing and implementing collaboration governance, joint venture structures and value sharing mechanisms.
Collaborative working style and demonstrated strong teaming capabilities both internally and with clients
Adept at building trust and rapport with clients by understanding their business, relating to their experiences, and empathizing with their challenges
Play a leading role in the growth of Joint Ventures & Alliances through case execution, business development, and intellectual property creation
Able to create awareness of BCG expertise and capabilities externally through participating in key industry forums, publications, studies, tools, etc.
Strong commercial drive to push topic amongst existing and new clients while elevating our ability to deliver client impact by creating the next generation of IP and deepening our knowledge
Engage BCG's internal community on expertise and capabilities, with a strong focus on sharing knowledge and insight
Strong set of consulting skills with demonstrated willingness to learn
Driven, hard-working, entrepreneurial, and proactive
Able to provide mentorship and embody BCG's purpose

Partner and Directors: The Partner and Director role is our senior most expert role and is reserved for those who are recognized externally and internally as key experts in their domain of expertise. As a Partner and Director, you are able to drive the CXO level dialogue and possess the gravitas and senior presence to command premiums for your expertise. You will take proactive responsibility by teaming with senior BCG leadership to generate significant growth in strategic priority areas. You will leverage your deep expertise to develop commercial opportunities, drive growth, and help deliver relevant casework to a range of clients. Partner and Directors lead and expand BCG's expert teams, cultivate the next generation of experts, and mentor junior staff. You will contribute significantly to BCG's intellectual capital, create passion for your area internally, and build BCG's brand externally through conferences, white papers, collaborations, etc.

The first year base compensation for this role is:
Partner & Director: $369,900 USD

In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution. BCG also provides a market leading benefits package described below.
