Our Manual Process Automation teams are focused on automating business processes using low / no code and emerging technologies to remediate manual processes. Our tooling includes: Robotics, Workflow, ETL, Decision Automation, AI/ML, Integrated solutions, etc.

The Senior Specialist, Infrastructure Engineer will act as the technical expert and liaise with internal technical teams/IT in support of Robotic Process Automation platforms

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide a superior level of experience and knowledge in the technical aspects of Robotic Process Automation systems/platform configuration and administration
  • Support delivery teams with technical expertise and assistance in both integrating and debugging systems used by and associated with Low/No-Code tools that are automating Manual Processes

  • Interact with Production Support (Bot Controllers) as needed on occasional escalation items
  • Analyze and lead discussions around architectural options, ensuring all options are considered to ensure optimal deployment
  • Interact with vendor professional services and support
  • Potentially direct a small team of similarly focused resources
Experience & Qualifications: (requirements for role)
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in IS/IT or STEM. Associated certifications on new and emerging technologies is preferred but not mandatory
  • Overall, 8+ years of work experience across Infrastructure, Infrastructure design, Networking, cloud and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated experience with Robotic Process Automation systems ideally UiPath but also Blue Prism
  • Practical experience in configuring/administering vendor applications and managing technical aspects of vendor relationships: upgrades, enhancement requests, bug prioritization, escalations, etc
  • Understanding of technical infrastructure, including network communication, server interactions, security features (such as encryption), authentication/authorization systems (e.g. LDAP, AD, Azure AD), virtualization, remoting, and other systems necessary to support a distributed platform / product architecture
  • Understanding of security as it relates to cloud and on-premises infrastructure
  • Experience with application management and providing high availability and resilient solutions using clustering, failover, or other methods
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Technology (VB .NET, Windows, Internet Explorer, SQL Server, Web Services, Active Directory), Java, Python, etc
  • The ability to methodically solve business and technical problems using innovative and well-planned approaches
  • The skills to design, author and asses well documented, supportable and scalable infrastructures and present them to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Supporting Low/No Code delivery teams, as needed, with technical expertise and assistance in both integrating with and debugging systems
  • Practical experience with JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint
Subject matter expert in at least one of the tools/techologies used in the space.Participates in or leads initiatives to analyze infrastructure problems to be solved with advanced design. Utilizes standard procedures and policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.Participates in or leads initiatives to analyze infrastructure problems to be solved with advanced design. Develops reports in conjunction with the Fellow Architect which demonstrate business opportunities and road map strategies that add business value. Drafts proposals on infrastructure architecture needs for M&A activity, and supports the creation of executive summaries.This person is a subject matter expert in at least one of the tools/techologies used in the space.Consults and advises application development groups on solution architecture design.monitoring implmentation; recommending solutions based on BNYM and industry best practices.Acts as the lead for major incident resolution.Drives strategy to increase automation across the organization.Contributes to the achievement of team objectivesBachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred8-10 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
