Overview

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Senior Specialist, Back-End Developer in Woodland Park, NJ, to Consult with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services and technical support. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Reviewing the configuration and security settings within Securities Master Databases and applications using Oracle/Exadata, UDB, MongoDB, DB2 and operating systems including Unix, Windows, and ZOS; Designing and developing financial applications using C++, Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Virtualization, Microservices, No-SQL Database, Network-attached storage (NAS) storage, Storage Area Network (SAN), Elastic Cloud Storage S3 Storage, IBM Message Queue Service, Apache Kafka Messaging Service, Perl, JavaScript, Angular, XML, JSon, CSS, Struts, and PowerShell; Utilizing tools for scheduling (AWS, ESP), Ticketing (ServiceNow, Remedy), development (Eclipse, IntelliJ), code management (GIT, Jenkins, GITLAB), querying and DB analysis (SQL Developer, Squirrel SQL Client), and data transmission (WinSCP, NDM, SFTP) to build, configure, and maintain resiliency of financial applications; Architecting, designing, and developing processes to load and store pricing, reference, and corporate event data from market feeds from vendors including Bloomberg, S&P, IDC, DTC, SIX, Extel, WM-Daten, FED and London Stock Exchange into the securities master database and distribute the raw and golden copy market data to consumer applications via various channels including APIs, file transmission, and messaging queues; and Configuring multiple authorization tools including SiteMinder and OAuth2, deploying and maintaining Securities data on private cloud platforms using dynamic and static containers, and publishing APIs into the API store marketplace.
